Sacred Heart School - Fountain Academy Boys School

"I am pleased to provide the following letter of reference for Eastin Construction. The Sacred Heart School of Halifax (SHSH) retained Eastin in May of 2007 to provide construction management services for our new Boy's High School building. The project scope included a building of approximately 24,000 s.f. with a budget of $5 million. The design elements included classrooms, laboratories, a library, IT facilities, administrative offices and a gymnasium.

As chair of the facilities committee and chair of the construction committee for SHSH, I had daily contact with both the construction manager and site supervisor in all areas of the construction process including design, budgeting, tendering, construction meetings, site tours, design changes, cost control and reporting.

At present, we are nearing the completion of the building and anticipate taking possession at the end of July. We have been very pleased with our working experience with Eastin. They have been easily accessible and very professional in their work. In particular, as our construction management "partner", they played a critical role in ensuring our project has been delivered on budget. I would not hesitate to use the services of Eastin again or recommend them to others."
